Tension between Prime Minister and Journalist during Press Conference
Tension arose during a press conference held by the Prime Minister. One of the journalists presented a recording featuring a woman from Artsakh, who spoke about the issue of bread scarcity, saying: “If you think that you can go to Russia with your daughter, show that and our children should feel bad because of it, in no way, that is ridiculous. I know you are doing this on purpose. Or your wife, who shows your food and I don’t know what she wants to imply. Yes! Today in Artsakh, we stand in line for hours for bread, what your wife has depicted as harvest and goods is almost non-existent here, but we know what we are fighting for in our Artsakh.”
The Prime Minister reacted angrily, stating: “So what has been shown? Was there black caviar, exotic foods? Excuse me, I do not accept this in any way, and I absolutely do not agree with those emphases. When my wife was in Artsakh, she was busy delivering food to elderly people hidden in basements; at that time, there were not many women and men in Stepanakert,” he emphasized.
