Neutralization of the Crimean Bridge, Return of Crimea: Kyiv's Goals According to Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, during his speech at the Aspen Security Forum, stated that the Crimean Bridge is a target that must be neutralized for his country. “It is clear that this is our target. And every target that brings about war, not peace, must be neutralized,” said Zelensky.

In addition to the bridge, he named the complete return of Crimea as Kyiv's objective. On the night of July 17, the head of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, reported that an 'emergency incident' had occurred on the Crimean Bridge. The Russian National Anti-Terrorism Committee blamed Ukrainian special services for the incident.

It was noted that the attack on the bridge was carried out using two Ukrainian marine drones. The Investigative Committee of Russia has initiated a criminal case on terrorism charges. Earlier, proposals had been made in Ukraine to reward individuals involved in the terrorist act on the Crimean Bridge.
