KamAZ Truck Overturns and Slips 4 Meters Down the Gorge

On July 21, at 03:47, the crisis management center of the regional rescue service of Vayots Dzor received a call reporting a traffic accident on the Yerevan-Meghri highway, where a truck had overturned and fallen into a gorge, requiring the assistance of rescuers.

A firefighting and rescue squad from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was discovered that at the 149th kilometer of the Yerevan-Meghri highway, a KamAZ truck had veered off the road and overturned into the adjacent gorge (approximately 4 meters).

The rescuers have disconnected the power to the truck; specialized equipment is needed to right it.
