EU Countries Expelled 2,313 Georgian Citizens in Six Months

During the first six months of this year, EU countries expelled 2,313 Georgian citizens, according to information provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia. The highest number of expulsions occurred from Germany (1,504), followed by France (332) and Greece (102).

In 2022, EU countries expelled 3,034 individuals. Since March 2017, Georgians have had the right to travel without a visa for short stays in Schengen Area countries (up to 90 days within 180 days) for tourism, business, and family visit purposes.
