Young Wrestlers to Compete in World Championship in Turkey
The Armenian national teams in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling will participate in the World Junior Championship in Istanbul, Turkey, from July 31. This was reported by Armsport.am.
The junior Greco-Roman wrestling team, under the coaching of Gagik Khachatryan, Aleksan Hovhannisyan, and Edgar Khachatryan, will compete with nine wrestlers:
- Yurik Mkhitaryan (45 kg)
- Edgar Petrosyan (48 kg)
- Artur Broyan (51 kg)
- Yuri Karapetyan (55 kg)
- Samvel Terteryan (60 kg)
- Petros Ashkaryan (65 kg)
- Gor Khachatryan (71 kg)
- Erik Ter-Matevosyan (80 kg)
- Grisha Voskanyan (92 kg)
The junior freestyle wrestling team will comprise the following wrestlers:
- Gor Buniatyan (45 kg)
- Mikhran Sloyan (48 kg)
- Sasha Petrosyan (51 kg)
- Samvel Gevorgyan (55 kg)
- Aren Hayrapetyan (60 kg)
- Vladimir Azaryan (65 kg)
- Narek Nikoghosyan (71 kg)
- Razmik Yefremyan (80 kg)
- Varuzhan Hovhannisyan (92 kg)
- Henrik Haykyan (110 kg)
The freestyle wrestlers will compete under the guidance of coaches Arshak Hayrapetyan and Armen Shahverdyan.
The World Junior Championship will conclude on August 6.
