VIDEO: "The cocaine cases discovered in Syunik were smuggled over the river or via throws": Badasyan
We do not have information related to the case mentioned, it is in the preliminary investigation phase, and is under the jurisdiction of the NSS.
This was stated today, July 20, during a briefing with journalists after a government meeting by the Chairman of the State Revenue Committee, Rustam Badasyan, addressing the large-scale discoveries of cocaine-type drugs.
“After that, the last cases discovered in Syunik, as far as I am aware, all major cases have been conducted not through border crossing points, but over the river, through throws, and in other ways. We have no information about those either. And regarding discoveries made by the SRC related to both fentanyl and methamphetamine, we have findings, and when we reach the publication phase, we will definitely inform you,” he said.
The SRC chairman noted that drugs are being imported by various individuals. “The last case of methamphetamine, for instance, was at the border with Iran, passed through a checkpoint, hidden in a rather complicated way, and scanned, suspicions arose; when the bag was opened, methamphetamine was found, and then other cases were discovered as well through the same chain,” Badasyan stated.
