India Hopes Putin Will Attend G20 Summit

India is hopeful that Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend the G20 summit scheduled to take place in New Delhi. This was reported by Arindam Bagchi, the official representative of India's Ministry of External Affairs, to РИА Новости.

He reminded that invitations have been sent to the leaders of all G20 nations, invited countries, and international organizations.

"This is a physical summit, and we would like to hope that all invitees will be able to participate in person," Bagchi said.

"I understand that there have been confirmations, but again, I do not have a specific answer regarding a specific leader—yes or no."

Recall that the G20 summit will take place this September in New Delhi.
