Active Construction Work Ongoing in Margara, Completion Soon: Rustam Badasyan

The Head of the State Revenue Committee, Rustam Badasyan, addressed reporters during a press conference regarding the work being done towards the opening of the Armenia-Turkey border.

“A number of decisions have been made in government meetings related to financing, and active construction work is underway in Margara. I can't specify a concrete deadline for when it will be completed, but it will be soon,” he stated.

When asked if the border would open immediately after the completion of the works, Badasyan replied, “That is not within the jurisdiction of the SRC. Our task is to ensure the appropriate implementation of customs control at the border crossing point; we are working on that.”

Regarding financing issues, Badasyan noted that these matters are discussed during government meetings, with different amounts allocated for various phases, funded by the state budget.
