UN Has Three Months, Says Zakharova
The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, has stated that the UN has three months to implement the memorandum regarding the export of Russian grain and fertilizers with Russia, according to RIA Novosti.
"The UN also has three months to bring to life and achieve specific results," Zakharova said.
According to the MFA representative, Russia is willing to return to the grain deal only after specific results related to the implementation of the Russian part of the agreement, rather than based on the next 'assurances' and 'promises' from the UN.
Previously, Bloomberg suggested that Turkey is unlikely to accept military escorts for ships from Ukrainian ports.
Paul Markides, a representative of the Intercargo association of dry cargo shipowners, expressed that, until corridors are restored, sending their ships to Ukrainian ports is not safe, and thus shipowners are unlikely to take such a risky step.
