The Price of 'Sepuh-1' Vehicles Ranges Approximately Between $30,000 and $40,000
‘Sepuh-1’ company has already released 8 cars in Armenia, some of which have received state registration plates. The cost of the cars is approximately between $30,000 and $40,000. This was reported by ‘Armenpress’.
‘Sepuh-1’ manufactures vehicles of the South Korean brand SsangYong. The production process involves assembling cars that are built from the importation of large component parts. This practice is common in many countries. Many organizations that are well-known to us also organize their productions based on this approach,” said Albert Babayan, director of the National Body for Standardization and Metrology of the Ministry of Economy.
Last September, ‘Sepuh-1’ certified 4 vehicles, and in February 2023, another 4. The price of the vehicles is approximately between $30,000 and $40,000. It is worth noting that ‘Sepuh-1’ is the company’s brand name; the vehicles are from the South Korean manufacturer SsangYong.
The first discussions with the state regarding the owner of ‘Sepuh-1’ began back in 2019. The investor applied to the Minister of Economy at the end of 2020, requesting support to ensure that the equipped vehicles could receive certificates without being subject to operational service call systems. In 2021, the Ministry of Economy circulated a draft government decision proposing certification for uniquely produced vehicles without the presence of this system. With governmental support in 2022, this opportunity was provided by a decision of the EAEU Council for vehicles produced and imported within the EAEU member countries,” Babayan said.
As soon as these vehicles manufactured in Armenia obtain state license plates, they will be ready for operation. For more details, visit the original source website.
