De-miners Discover 122mm Shell Fuse and Remnants of Grad Missile in Jermuk
The de-miners from the "Humanitarian Demining and Expertise Center" continue their work in cleaning areas contaminated by unexploded ordnance as a result of military operations in the Jermuk community of Vayots Dzor province.
Since the start of operations in May of this year, the de-miners have cleared a total of 127,794 m² in the Jermuk settlement, of which 10,662 m² was sub-surface. Additionally, they have cleared 43,697 m² in the Kechut settlement, with 10,958 m² being sub-surface.
During these cleanup efforts, a 122 mm shell fuse and remnants of a BM-21 ("Grad") missile have been discovered. The de-mining operations in the Jermuk community of Vayots Dzor province are ongoing.
