Two Cars Collide on Yerevan-Sevan Highway: Two Dead and Two Injured
A road traffic accident occurred on the Yerevan-Sevan highway, resulting in two fatalities and two injuries, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
On July 18, at 04:07, the Crisis Management National Center received a report of an accident on the Yerevan-Sevan highway, with trapped victims involved.
The special rescue group from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene.
It was determined that a collision occurred at the 19th kilometer of the highway between a "Mercedes-Benz" (driver: E. K.) and a "VAZ" (driver: T. E., born in 1977). The driver of the latter and the passenger, T. K. (born in 1976), died at the scene.
Injured individuals A. K. (born in 2000) and A. D. (born in 1995) were transported to Abovian Medical Center, where doctors assessed A. K.'s condition as moderate and A. D.'s as stable.
Before the arrival of rescuers, local authorities deactivated the vehicles and closed the gas cylinder valves.
Rescuers, together with patrol service employees, cordoned off the area, extracted the bodies from the vehicles, and moved them to a transport vehicle. They also undertook road cleaning operations.
