Georgia and Poland to Soon Produce Large Quantities of Combat Drones

Georgia will soon begin joint production of large quantities of combat drones in collaboration with Poland. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Georgia, Juansher Burchuladze.

"We have fully prepared the necessary infrastructure and conducted test flights. We have brought prototype samples from Poland. If not in the coming days, then mass production will commence in August or September," the Minister of Defense said in an interview with Imedi TV.

The idea of producing combat UAVs has been discussed in Georgia since 2021. In November 2022, the Polish company WB Electronics and the Georgian Scientific and Technological Center 'Delta' established a joint venture called 'Delta-WB' to manufacture drones.

This January, the first Warmate type 'kamikaze' and the first FlyEye type reconnaissance UAVs were produced. Warmate is considered a drone with high effectiveness and precision in target destruction and can carry various warheads. FlyEye, according to experts, can perform reconnaissance flights in challenging weather conditions and overcome the effects of the opponent's electronic warfare systems.
