Secret Document Leak Related to Turkey from the Pentagon: Reason Revealed
According to widely circulated reports in the Turkish media, a leak of several military secret documents belonging to the U.S. Department of Defense, the Pentagon, has occurred. This is reported by Ermenihaber.
It is noted that among these documents was a diplomatic letter sent from Turkey to the U.S. marked as 'urgent'. Allegedly, the letter contained information related to possible actions planned by the PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party), which is considered a terrorist organization in Turkey.
The site mentions that the reason for the leak was a typographical error made by an employee of a U.S. intelligence agency, which led to the electronic mail being addressed to the wrong recipient instead of the intended one.
According to Turkish media claims, this is not the first instance of classified documents leaking. Since January of this year alone, approximately 117,000 electronic mails containing secret documents have been sent to incorrect addresses due to the carelessness of Pentagon employees.
