Request for the Arrest of Vitaly Balasanyan Submitted

A request for the arrest of Vitaly Balasanyan, the Secretary of the Security Council of Artsakh, has been submitted to the court. This information was provided to the media by his lawyer, Rafael Martirosyan.

Vitaly Balasanyan has been charged under Article 337, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Artsakh for committing non-dangerous violence or threatening violence against a representative of power, as well as under Article 185, Part 3, Point 1, for embezzlement of particularly large amounts, and under the characteristics of Article 279.

The request for Balasanyan's arrest as a measure of restraint is set to be reviewed today at 11:30 AM in the First Instance General Jurisdiction Court of Artsakh.
