Police Special Operation in Syunik: One Injured

At around 4:30 AM, officers from the criminal investigation departments of the Syunik Regional Police and the Sisian Police attempted to stop an Opel Astra and a Mercedes vehicle on the 200 km stretch of the Yerevan-Meghri highway.

It is reported that the driver of the Opel did not comply with the police's legal order to "stop," attempted to flee, and at that moment collided with a police-marked Toyota Corolla.

Police on the scene managed to neutralize the driver of the Opel, while 3 bundles of a drug having a sharp odor, characteristic of narcotics, were found clearly visible inside the vehicle. They were packaged in polyethylene and aluminum cardboard.
