Body of 84-Year-Old Found in Lake Sevan

The Emergency Management Center of the Gegharkunik Regional Rescue Service received a notification on July 16 at 1:15 PM reporting that a rubber boat and a citizen were observed near one of the recreation areas of Lake Sevan. This was announced by the rescue service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs' rescue service, a diving team from the special rescue operations center of the regional rescue service was dispatched to the scene. Sources indicate that divers discovered the citizen about 30 meters away from the shore at the "Zhayr" beach and, together with local forces, brought the individual to shore. Emergency medical staff confirmed the death of L.G. (born in 1939).
