Charges have been filed against Garik Galeyan, the father of fallen soldier Mkhitar Galeyan, and his uncle, Arthur Galeyan. This was reported by lawyer Vahan Hovhannisyan on his Facebook page.
The Galeyans appeared at the investigative department of Yerevan based on a summons. The charges were announced in connection with an incident that occurred in front of the Prosecutor General's office on June 30, 2022.
“Over a year has passed without any investigative or procedural actions in that case, and none of the parents had been interrogated. Moreover, we ourselves went to the police station after the incident and provided explanations,” the lawyer noted.
He reminded that on that day, Garik and Arthur Galeyan, along with Vahid Sahakyan, the father of fallen soldier Zhora Sahakyan, suffered bodily injuries. However, today charges have been filed against Galeyan.
