Titanic Director May Create Series on Titan Submersible Disaster: The Sun

The director of the film 'Titanic,' James Cameron, is in discussions with executives from one of the streaming services about creating a dramatic series based on the story of the Titan submersible, which tragically imploded in the Atlantic Ocean. This information was reported by The Sun, citing its sources.

The specific streaming service has not been disclosed by the source. It has been stated that James Cameron is the main candidate to direct the anticipated series. Actors Matt Damon and Kumail Nanjiani are rumored to be in line for the leading roles, according to the outlet.

It is worth mentioning that on June 19, it became known that the submersible, which carried five people, went missing during a routine expedition in the Atlantic Ocean. On June 22, the U.S. Coast Guard announced that search team members had found debris from the underwater craft.

The 'Titanic' sank on April 15, 1912, after hitting an iceberg while journeying from Southampton to New York, resulting in the deaths of approximately 1,500 people. 'Titanic' won 11 Oscars, including Best Director. During the production, James Cameron submerged 33 times near the wreck of the Titanic.
