Robbery at Zvartnots Airport: Russian Citizen's Bag Stolen with Currency Equivalent to $80,000

According to SHAMSHYAN.com, on July 10, a 36-year-old resident of Yerevan, Andranik M., reported to the Linear Division of the Police at Zvartnots Airport that a significant theft had occurred between 4:00 and 6:00 AM on June 21.

As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, Andranik M. informed the airport police that he is a lawyer from the Armenian Bar Association and that approximately £80,000, the equivalent of USD, Swiss francs, and euros, had been stolen from his client, a 56-year-old Russian citizen named Sergey L.'s bag.

Materials regarding the incident have been prepared at the Linear Division of Zvartnots Airport and transferred to the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia in Yerevan, specifically to the Zvartnots Investigative Division.
