Polish Doctor Attempted to Illegally Remove Saakashvili's Sample from Georgia

One of the Polish doctors examining the health condition of former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili attempted to sneak out a sample taken from him at the private 'Vivamed' clinic in Tbilisi, hiding it in his shoe. This was announced during a press briefing by Georgia's Minister of Justice, Rati Bregadze.

“An unclear incident occurred involving one of the Polish doctors. Specifically, the sample taken from the prisoner Mikheil Saakashvili was wrapped in paper and the Polish doctor tried to secretly remove it, hiding it in his shoe,” Bregadze stated.

The Ministry of Justice of the country has released footage showing the incident. Bregadze has publicly requested that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia inquire with official Warsaw regarding their stance on this incident.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced on Wednesday that he had sent doctors to Georgia to examine Saakashvili. The doctors were present at the 'Vivamed' clinic until late evening on Wednesday.
