At the National Assembly as at Home: MP Emma Palyan Dines with Family in Parliament
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports: "Members of the parliamentary faction of the ruling party and their assistants have turned the National Assembly into their own personal space, where they act according to their own whims, forgetting that they work in the country's primary political legislative body, which even establishes a dress code. Recently, there was a commotion surrounding a photograph of the assistant to MP Hayk Konjoryan celebrating his birthday with balloons in front of the Assembly building. This assistant, as it turns out, is not alone among those feeling at home in Parliament.
Yesterday, our reporter observed that MP Emma Palyan arrived at the National Assembly accompanied by her husband and young daughter. They were having lunch in the Assembly’s cafeteria. It was also revealed that Palyan's husband is her assistant-advisor. By the way, in this National Assembly, as in previous ones, there are plenty of spouses, children, daughters-in-law, and sons-in-law among the assistants, drivers, and experts of the members of parliament."
