Vehicle Accompanying Suren Papikyan Not Involved in Accident, Ministry of Defense Says
The Ministry of Defense of Armenia has denied reports claiming that a vehicle escorting Minister Suren Papikyan was involved in an accident, according to Armenpress.
“The circulating information is not true; the security of the Minister of Defense is ensured by the State Protection Service. The mentioned vehicle does not serve the employees of the State Protection Service and, consequently, does not escort the Minister of Defense,” stated Defense Ministry spokesman Aram Torosyan.
It is worth noting that media reports had circulated regarding an accident that occurred in the Avan administrative district on July 13, alleging that one of the vehicles was registered under the Ministry of Defense and served Suren Papikyan, with security personnel traveling in that vehicle.
