Armen Ashotyan Has Been Transferred to Solitary Confinement
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports: "Armen Ashotyan, the Vice President of the Republican Party of Armenia who is currently detained at the Nubarashen Penitentiary, has requested to be moved to solitary confinement, and his request has been granted. Sitting alone in prison is considered the toughest trial. It is not hard to imagine why Ashotyan prefers to be alone.
It is worth noting that former Minister of Defense David Tonoyan, who has been in prison for nearly two years, is also in solitary confinement. Former President Robert Kocharyan has also spent time alone in confinement, as has Gevorg Simonyan, a former Deputy Minister of Health and the current Deputy Mayor from the ruling party."
