This Year, Yerevan Will See 25 km Gas Pipeline, 9 km Water Line, and 1.4 km Sewer Line
In Yerevan, alongside the ever-growing construction volumes, infrastructure issues are also surfacing. This was mentioned today, on July 10th, during a procedural meeting at the Yerevan city hall.
Investment projects by companies operating in the life support sector will see the construction of a 25 km gas pipeline this year, of which 12.2 km is already completed, as well as a 9 km water line and a 1.4 km sewer line. Additionally, 17.2 km of cabling will be replaced in 101 apartment buildings.
"In newly built structures, there have undoubtedly been significant issues with gas and water supply, and this year we can consider most of this work to be completed. Large-scale works also bring significant issues to urban life and traffic. Therefore, at a minimum, we must ensure proper furnishings and monitor that they meet standards. The residents of Yerevan deserve better treatment," said Deputy Mayor Tigran Avinyan.
