The Pemex oil and gas platform in the Gulf of Mexico is currently ablaze. A strong fire erupted on July 7 at the offshore platform belonging to the Mexican oil and gas corporation, as reported by Tribuna Campeche. "Employees at the Nohoch Alfa platform reported an explosion and fire at the Cantarell production complex of Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex). Sources confirm that the fire is visible from nearby platforms, and the incident is considered serious," the publication stated.
It is noteworthy that Pemex has not yet provided official information regarding the incident.
