The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Presents the List of Documents Required for Entering Georgia
On January 12, 2023, the agreement on mutual visa-free travel for citizens of the Republic of Armenia and Georgia came into force on July 1, 2023.
The following is the list of documents required for citizens of the Republic of Armenia to enter, stay, transit, and exit the territory of Georgia:
- A passport of the citizen of the Republic of Armenia or an identification card of the citizen of the Republic of Armenia (which contains electronic data) can be used only when traveling between the territories of the two countries, including when using direct flights.
- A citizen may travel using an identification card if, when crossing the border checkpoint of the Republic of Armenia, the relevant electronic registry of the Republic of Armenia shows that the citizen possesses a valid passport of the Republic of Armenia, with a validity period noted in cases provided for by law in a foreign country.
- A travel document necessary for returning to the Republic of Armenia (only for returning to the Republic of Armenia).
