If the Court Responds Positively to Tonoyan's Motion, a Meeting Will Be Held on August 1 – Andranik Kocharyan

If the court responds positively to Davit Tonoyan's motion, the investigative commission examining the circumstances of the 44-day war is prepared to convene a meeting on August 1, said the chairman of the commission, Andranik Kocharyan, to "Azatutyun."

Davit Tonoyan, who is accused of committing particularly large-scale embezzlement, recently announced that he had submitted a motion to the Anti-Corruption Court on July 4, requesting permission to appear at the committee meeting. The former minister emphasized that he decided to attend and provide explanations following the statements made by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and former Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Onik Gasparyan during the committee meeting.

“After the Prime Minister's public session, I personally want to participate in the commission's meeting, as what is happening is a constitutional process, and issues regarding my activities as a former Minister of Defense are being discussed, as well as matters of utmost importance and strategic significance for the country and the state. I have a lot to say to the commission, given my key role in managing the war,” he declared.
