Case Against T.A. for Attempted Murder of Ararat Mirzoyan Sent to Court

A resident of Yerevan, T.A., after the announcement made on November 10, 2020, regarding the cessation of the war unleashed by the Republic of Azerbaijan against the Republic of Artsakh, and the agreement reached between the Republic of Armenia, the Russian Federation, and the Republic of Azerbaijan, learned about mass riots taking place near and inside the administrative buildings of the Government and the National Assembly in Yerevan. He aimed to participate in these riots and initially went to the Government and then to the National Assembly administrative building, as reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia.

According to the investigation in the National Security Service's main investigative department, after staying in the National Assembly building for some time, around 03:25, T.A. walked down Demirchyan Street, where he noticed a group of individuals striking the President of the National Assembly A.M. with the intent to kill him due to his state and political activities. T.A. engaged with the group in carrying out their criminal intention. Observing that the security personnel of A.M. were attempting to move him from the scene and prevent serious consequences, T.A. climbed on the hood of a nearby parked car and kicked A.M. several times, who was standing in front of the vehicle, causing him to fall to the ground.
