It is very important for me that the work of journalists is guaranteed, as the proper implementation of these rights plays a significant role in ensuring freedom of speech and press freedom. This was stated by Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan during a press briefing with journalists. She responded to questions regarding a recent incident at the High Judicial Council.

“It is also important to guarantee the work of state bodies, and that is why balanced solutions are being sought. One of those solutions is that, yes, the work of journalists must be guaranteed in state bodies. I am not going to speak exclusively about the High Judicial Council right now, because the matter also involves judicial proceedings, and I do not want to create a problematic situation from the perspective of the Human Rights Defender's powers,” she said.
