PHOTOS: Multiple Fractures, Closed Head Injury; Russian Journalist After Brutal Beating in Chechnya
Elena Milashina, a journalist from 'Novaya Gazeta', underwent examinations in a Moscow clinic on July 5. She was diagnosed with a closed head injury, multiple fractures in her arms (up to 14), and numerous bruises in soft tissues, reports Meduza.
No criminal case has yet been initiated regarding the brutal attack on Milashina and lawyer Alexander Nemov in Grozny.
“The Investigative Committee has only begun a preliminary check. Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president, assured that 'work is underway', 'actions are being carried out', and suggested to 'just wait', without clarifying what exactly,” the media outlet reports.
