12 Years Imprisonment Demanded for Abducted Armenian Soldiers in Azerbaijan
The Sumgait Heavy Crimes Court has demanded a 12-year prison sentence for abducted Armenian soldiers Harutyun Hovagimyan and Karen Ghazaryan. According to APA, the verdict will be read tomorrow.
Previously, it was reported that the trial of abducted Armenian prisoners of war was underway in Azerbaijan.
The Sumgait Heavy Crimes Court accuses the unlawfully held Armenian servicemen of allegedly crossing Azerbaijan's state border.
It is noteworthy that on May 26, communication was lost with two Armenian soldiers supplying food to combat positions. The Investigative Committee later reported that preliminary data indicated that an armed group from Azerbaijan had crossed the border and abducted the Armenian servicemen.
