US Ambassador's Statements Guiding Artsakh Residents into the Jaws of a Monster are Unacceptable: Abrahamyan

The US Ambassador in Armenia, who expresses hope that the Artsakh residents can live safely within Azerbaijan, appears to be inspired by the sentiments of the Armenian authorities. This was stated by Tigran Abrahamyan, the secretary of the ‘Honorary’ faction in the Armenian National Assembly, on his Facebook page.

“For the Armenian authorities, the surrender of Artsakh has become a life goal, and in the pursuit of this goal, they trample on any principles, desecrate values, and humiliate themselves to the fullest extent. For instance, would an American diplomat who expresses confidence in the safety of Artsakh residents within Azerbaijan trust the lives and safety of their family members, relatives, or just compatriots to ISIS or Al-Qaeda?” he noted.

Azerbaijan, as a state, does not lag behind terrorist organizations in terms of crimes against humanity; therefore, the ambassador's statements guiding Artsakh residents into the jaws of a monster are unacceptable and cause significant damage both to the negotiation process and to the US as a mediator,” he emphasized.
