Teachers Are Being Forced to Take Certification Exams, Says MP

I receive alerts from teachers that the directors of public schools are forcing them to take mandatory certification exams, writes Garik Danielyan, an MP from the 'Armenia' alliance on his Facebook page.

"I want to point out that starting from 2023, certification is conducted for all teachers teaching in grades 1-12, and it is carried out on a VOLUNTARY basis. Therefore, I condemn attempts to pressure, direct, or persuade teachers to undergo certification. Additionally, it is still unclear how transparent and objective the certification process is. I have information that the principle of favoritism is at play here as well. I will remain vigilant to ensure that individuals who engage in such actions do not go unpunished," the MP wrote.
