July 3 of this year declared the hottest day in history
On July 3, 2023, meteorologists calculated that it was the hottest day in recorded history. This was reported by BBC Russian. On that day, the average temperature across the planet exceeded the record set seven years ago.
According to scientists from the National Center for Environmental Prediction, an American government agency, the global average temperature reached 17.01 degrees Celsius on July 3. The previous record, which was recorded in August 2016, was 16.92 degrees.
Scientists clarify that July 3 has become the hottest day since 1979, when satellite weather observations began. However, they are confident that this is a record in the entire history of regular scientific observations, which have been ongoing since the late 19th century.
