‘He didn’t find his Nare... Little sister Nare has arrived’: The sister of a casualty from the 44-day war has been born

‘Nare,’ the sister of Harutyun Hovhannisyan, who died in the 44-day war, has been born at Shengavit Medical Center. This was announced on the medical center’s Facebook page.

The mother of the little girl, Natalia Davtyan, became pregnant naturally, and her entire pregnancy and delivery went without complications.

The decision to name the child Nare has an emotional backstory. The favorite song of the baby’s brother was ‘Nare’ by the Nemra band. Classmates told the parents that he always listened to that song with headphones and had asked them to find a ‘Nare’ before he was discharged from the army.

‘He didn’t find his Nare... Little sister Nare has arrived. Now he has his own Nare...’,” said Natalia Davtyan.

For the mother, the pregnancy came as a surprise. Initially, she thought that her health issues were due to a health problem. However, after some time, when she realized that she was going to be a mother again, she was the first to share the news with her son.

‘It was very late at night, everyone at home was asleep. I had some yogurt and felt nauseous, so the first person I spoke to was Harutyun. I told him, ‘My son, there’s something going on...’ I spoke with his photo, he was the first to know. A few days later, I took a test and confirmed it. I’ve always said, ‘If you want it, let it be. If not, then let it not be.’ So it wanted to be...’,” the mother recounted.

Natalia is looking for similarities between Harutyun and Nare but has not yet found any. She is confident that if the sister resembles her brother, she will never face hardship.

The medical center has also announced that Nare and her mother are now at home.
