OSCE PA Accepts All Proposals from Armenian Delegation Regarding Artsakh Issue

The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly has accepted all proposals from the Armenian delegation, as reported by the OSCE PA Vice Chair of the Human Rights Committee, Sargis Khandanian.

The final document of the OSCE PA in 2023, the Vancouver Declaration, endorsed several important provisions through voting.

The Assembly calls for Azerbaijan to withdraw its armed forces from the sovereign territory of Armenia, and calls for the unhindered passage of people and goods through the Lachin corridor in accordance with the International Court of Justice's decision from February 22, 2023.

It urges Azerbaijan to work closely with the international community to establish a positive agenda to guarantee the rights and safety of Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh.

The Assembly also calls for the release of all detained individuals and clarification of the fates of all missing persons during the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, protection of the region's cultural heritage, and support for demining processes.

It encourages Armenia and Azerbaijan to continue negotiations aimed at signing a comprehensive peace agreement based on mutual recognition of territorial integrity.

Furthermore, the Assembly applauds the diplomatic efforts of the United States and the European Union, which contribute to fostering dialogue and building mutual trust between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
