China Cancels Borrell's Visit to Beijing
The planned visit of Josep Borrell, the head of European diplomacy, to China has been canceled by Beijing. The information was reported by Reuters, citing the spokesperson for the European Commission's foreign affairs and security policy, Nabila Massrali.
“Unfortunately, our Chinese counterparts informed us that the scheduled dates for next week are no longer possible, and we now need to look for alternatives,” Massrali stated in a written statement to Reuters.
Josep Borrell, the Vice President of the European Commission and the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, was set to travel to China on July 10.
