‘Bottle Holder’ Releases Footage from Military Airport: Who Allowed This?

Member of the National Assembly from the ‘Civil Contract’ faction, Hayk Sargsyan, who is more popularly known by the nickname ‘bottle holder’, published a video around a month ago from the ‘Arzni’ airport on his YouTube channel. This was reported by Hraparak.

The article presents the following:

“In the video published by the MP, the entire airport can be seen, along with its planes and helicopters. It should be recalled that during the Government meeting on May 5, 2022, the executive body changed the order regarding the ‘Arzni’ airport that had been adopted four years prior. According to the decision made in 2018, the Armenian Ministry of Defense’s ‘Arzni’ airport was included in the list of aerodromes designated for the joint basing of civil and military aviation aircraft, meaning it was to serve both military and civilian aircraft. However, the decision adopted in 2022 specified that this airport serves exclusively military purposes.

The Ministry of Defense and the members of the ‘Civil Contract’ party have repeatedly accused the opposition, media, and anyone disseminating information about the Armed Forces of inadvertently providing confidential data to the enemy, both during the 44-day war and afterwards. Yet, the video posted on Hayk Sargsyan’s page is treated casually—filming a military airport and aircraft is seen as acceptable, and it can be uploaded to YouTube. A question arises: who authorized Hayk Sargsyan to spread such footage? And how can a person in the position of an MP not understand that such actions should not be taken?”
