Tughikhi Tovmasyan Criticizes Russian Peacekeepers for Passivity in Artsakh

Even with the presence of Russian peacekeepers, the Armenian side has suffered both human and territorial losses in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was stated by Tughikhi Tovmasyan, chair of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Human Rights Protection and Public Affairs, during a conversation with reporters on July 3.

“We have both casualties and injured. Do not forget about the incident that occurred in Parukh. People who are engaged in agricultural activities in their daily lives, particularly in the fields, are suffering. All of this once again demonstrates that the presence of Russian peacekeeping forces does not deter Baku,” Tovmasyan said.

She urged everyone to confront the truth and not succumb to illusions: “We should not think that if representatives of Russia are there, then it will be possible to avoid war. No, it will not be possible to avoid it. War is inevitable. The presence of the Russians and their peacekeepers in no way restrains Azerbaijan's imperial ambitions. Therefore, we must be prepared for anything,” the MP emphasized.
