Landslide on Vanadzor-Bagratashen Section: Road Segment Closed

The Rescue Service reports that the roads in the Republic of Armenia are passable. However, due to ongoing reconstruction works since June 1, traffic restrictions are in place on the Alaverdi-Sanahin-Sarahart road segment.

A landslide occurred on the support wall at kilometer 53 of the M-6 interstate highway near the Vanadzor-Bagratashen section, causing the road segment to be closed in one direction. Traffic will be redirected through the city of Alaverdi.

According to information received from the Emergency Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Emergency Situations Ministry of North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is open for all types of vehicles.
