Illegal Trial of Abducted Armenian Soldiers Begins in Azerbaijan

The illegal trial of Armenian soldiers Harutyun Hovagimyan and Karen Ghazaryan, abducted by Azerbaijan from the territory of the Republic of Armenia, has commenced today at the Sumgayit Serious Crimes Court. This was reported by APA.

It was noted that the personal details of the soldiers have been verified. The Sumgayit Serious Crimes Court accuses the unlawfully detained Armenian soldiers of allegedly crossing Azerbaijan's state border.

Recall that communication was lost with two Armenian soldiers supplying food to combat positions on May 26. Later, the Investigative Committee reported that preliminary data indicated an armed group from Azerbaijan had crossed the border and abducted the Armenian soldiers.
