"I Worry for My Father": New Ghazanchi of Martakert After Provocation

In the community of New Ghazanchi, located near the front line in the Martakert region of Artsakh, residents are trying to return to normal life following the recent Azerbaijani provocation on June 28.

The community leader, Ruslan Arustamyan, told an Armenpress correspondent that the adversary's shelling and the use of unmanned aerial vehicles took place in the rural area, while the community has more than ten children, including newborns, living there.

“After the shelling, no one left the village. During that time, we had to relocate women and children to a relatively safe area near the village, and a little later, we had to send a pregnant woman to Stepanakert due to the need for medical supervision,” the community leader shared.

According to him, due to the blockade, there is a shortage of food supplies in the village, especially flour, oil, and other essential goods.

Ten-year-old Temur Arustamyan, in response to the media's question about how he feels and thinks during the gunfire from Azerbaijani positions, confessed: “I worry for my father, who is protecting our village.”
