VIDEO. Andranik Kocharyan on Macron's Statement
During a meeting with the Armenian community, French President Emmanuel Macron stated that he has exerted and will exert more pressure on Aliyev than Prime Minister Pashinyan. In an interview with NEWS.am, Andranik Kocharyan, the Chairman of the National Assembly’s Defense and Security Committee, responded to a journalist's question about how it came to be that the leader of another country is more concerned about Artsakh than Pashinyan. He remarked:
“Macron's statement was not about that. He is saying, ‘I am also thinking, Pashinyan is also thinking,’ but since he is meeting with the Armenian community, he says, ‘As the President of France, who has enormous ties and historical connections with Armenia, I am negotiating as the leader of a co-chairing country.’ He is not saying that Pashinyan is not doing anything.”
