Nazarbayev's Daughter-in-Law Sentenced to 8 Years in Prison

The former wife of Kazakhstan’s ex-president Nursultan Nazarbayev's nephew, Gulyamira Satibaldi, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for embezzlement of others’ property, under Article 189, Part 4.

In addition to the prison sentence, the court has prohibited the convicted individual from holding managerial positions in commercial organizations for 10 years. According to investigators, Gulyamira Satibaldi facilitated a company that participated in a state competition for the construction of heating networks and accepted fictitious delivery acts for non-existent facilities.
