Lavrov Discusses Russia's Actions If Grain Deal Is Abandoned
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated during a press conference that Russia will supply grain to the poorest countries at its own expense if the grain deal is terminated. This was reported by TASS.
According to Lavrov, grain will be supplied in full. He said, “In the event of the cessation of the Black Sea initiative, we will ensure the supply of a comparable or larger batch of grain to the poorest countries at our own expense.”
On June 27, Turkey's Foreign Ministry announced that its head, Hakan Fidan, discussed the grain deal and humanitarian assistance to Syria during a phone conversation.
Earlier, it was reported that U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Turkey's Foreign Minister also discussed the grain deal. Blinken welcomed Turkey's support for Ukraine.
