Court Acquits Narek Malyan in Case of 'Ceausescu Executions'
Narek Malyan has been acquitted, and the measure of restraint against him has been lifted. A verdict was announced at the Avan-Nor-Nork First Instance Court in the case known as the ‘Ceausescu’ matter. The court declared and proclaimed his innocence based on the absence of a crime.
The court also lifted the chosen measure of restraint against him. It is noteworthy that Narek Malyan was accused of staging a futurist performance entitled 'The Execution of Ceausescu or Death to Traitors' in Liberty Square. He was charged under Article 226.2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia (Public Calls for Violence, Justifying or Promoting Violence Publicly).
