Weak Putin is a Greater Danger: Josep Borrell
EU leaders are discussing Russia's June 24th uprising in Brussels today, as well as the EU's role in strengthening Ukraine's security in the long term.
“It is clear that Putin is emerging from this crisis weakened, but a weak Putin is a greater danger. We need to be very aware of the consequences. Everything remains unclear,” said Josep Borrell, the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, addressing the situation in Russia following the uprising.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg also joined the EU leaders. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will address the meeting participants via video link.
The two-day meeting in Brussels will also discuss issues related to migration, economic security, and relations with China.
