Video: "The Resolution Adopted by the PACE is an Important Document," Prime Minister

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, addressed the government's session at the start, referring to the recent Azerbaijani military provocation in Artsakh, which resulted in 4 casualties on the Armenian side.

Pashinyan stated that this provocation had been prepared for a long time through Azerbaijani information assaults.

"Azerbaijan is pursuing a consistent policy aimed at escalating the situation and depopulating Nagorno-Karabakh," he noted. According to Pashinyan, Azerbaijan's behavior is perceived in this way by the international community as well.

"The most recent evidence of this is the PACE resolution 2256 adopted last week, in which the PACE expresses concern over the hostile and threatening rhetoric used against Armenians at the highest levels of Azerbaijani leadership and calls on Azerbaijan to reject such rhetoric and take steps against hate speech, including that employed by public and high-ranking officials, as well as to combat hate crimes," he said.

Pashinyan emphasized that the resolution adopted by the PACE is an important document for raising international attention to the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh, and the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be diligent in keeping the provisions of the resolution on the agenda of the ministerial committee of the executive body of the Council of Europe.
