Putin Wanted to Try Cold Tea at Exhibition but Found Out It Was a Dummy

Russian President Vladimir Putin showed interest in trying the cold tea from local producer Original eco food and agreed to sample it. This information was reported by РИА Новости.

Putin toured the exhibition of Russian domestic companies, which took place in the area of the forum titled “Strong Ideas for a New Time,” organized by the Russian Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI).

The Original eco food brand brought its products to the exhibition after winning a competition for domestic new brands. According to an employee of Original eco food, the cold blend is used to prepare a real hot beverage. The added berries are collected from ecologically clean areas of the country.

“We dream that one day our northern tea will be in your famous cup,” admitted a girl representing the company.

“Give it to me,” responded Putin while examining one of the packages. However, upon turning it in his hands and realizing it was a dummy, the President expressed his dissatisfaction. “He asked me to visit and said that his elderly mother would be very happy. But he didn’t leave an address,” Putin recalled an episode from the film “The Golden Calf” by Ilf and Petrov. “It’s the same here,” Putin joked.

The girl quickly explained that the frozen product cannot be kept near the stand and promised to send the president such tea.
